Acupuncture is a 5000 year old healing method that originated in China and is now practiced worldwide. It is based on the idea that Meridian Pathways run throughout the body at different levels connecting tissues and organs.
Energy or Qi, course through these meridians helping us heal and maintain our health. Acupunctures popularity has grown tremendously due to it's effectiveness in treating many
common medical conditions.
I have over thirteen years of clinical
experience in Physical Therapy treating
neurologic, orthopedic and vestibular
patient populations. I incorporate these
therapeutic techniques into each treatment session. Each patient receives focused individual attention every treatment session.
I specialize in Myofascial Trigger Point Release to address these pain syndromes. I believe most pain conditions arise from the constriction of the soft and connective tissues. This treatment consists of locating the Myofascial Trigger Point, sometimes referred to as a “pinched nerve” or “knot” and releasing it with manipulation of the Acupuncture needle. The use of Neurofunction Electrical Stimulation, a low-frequency pulsed current, is added to neuromodulate the tissue which increases blood flow, decompresses nerves, disperse toxins and allows the tissue to regain its normal resting state.
